LIV Houston Round 3 Recap: Carlos Ortiz wins, Cleeks GC Gets First Team Championship

HUMBLE, TX – LIV Golf wrapped up an exciting weekend in Houston. Players were battling scorching temperatures and high humidity throughout the tournament.

Cleeks GC get their first Team Championship, making them the last team to celebrate an individual or team championship.

Carlos Ortiz was 15 under par for the three rounds and won his first individual championship becoming the second player on Torque GC to take home an individual championship (Joaquin Niemann also won two events this year).

This is Ortiz’s second win at the Golf Club of Houston, he won in 2020.

Adrian Meronk helped Cleeks GC to a podium finish. He came in second place shooting 14-under in his three rounds.

Cleeks GC captain Martin Kaymer shot 9-under for the three rounds to help his team win their first team championship.
