PINEHURST, NC –Bryson DeChambeau won the 2024 U.S Open at Pinehurst with a 1-stroke lead over Rory McIlroy.

This is DeChambuea’s second U.S Open win. He won in 2020.

The crucial moment of the tournament came on the 18th hole when McIlroy was putting for a par to stay 5-under. It was an easy 3 foot putt, or so we thought. The ball grazed the cup and lipped it sending the ball a few feet from the hole. He was left with a bogey, shooting a 69 and leaving him at 5-under for the tournament one stroke behind Bryson.

Bryson was one hole behind Rory.

The 18th hole started off rough for DeChambeau, but he hung on.

He hooked his tee shot far left landing in the native area next to a tree and some roots. His punched his second shot and it rolled into the right bunker to the right of the green. His third shot was from the bunker. With ice in his veins he hit a 50 yard bunker that shot landed a few feet from the hole. It was an incredible up and down for Bryson as he sunk the 4 foot put for a par to win the 2024 U.S Open.
