Impressive start for LIV golfers at Le Golf National

PARIS – Seven LIV golfers have completed their first round at Le Golf National at the Paris Olympics.

The seven golfers are representing four countries at the Olympic games: Abraham Ancer (Mexico), Adrian Meronk (Poland), Joaquin Niemann (Chile), Carlos Ortiz (Mexico), Mito Pereira (Chile), David Puig (Spain), Jon Rahm (Spain)

Joaquin Niemann is tied for 3rd place. Niemann shot 5-under 66. His first round was highlighted by four birdies and an eagle.

Spain’s Jon Rahm was all over the place in his first round. His chaotic round featured two eagles, four birdies, two bogeys and one double bogey. He was able to come out unscathed, shooting 4-under 67, tied for 6th place.

Mexico’s Carlos Ortiz is also tied for 14th place. He shot a 3-under 68

Mito Pereira is tied for 21st place after shooting a 2-under 69. He had a tough round. He had one eagle, five birdies, a bogey and two double bogeys.

Spain’s David Puig is tied for 24th as he finished 2-under 69 with five birdies and two double bogeys.

Mexico’s Abraham Ancer is tied for 31st after shooting 1-under 70. It was a tough ending to his round as he bogeyed the last two holes. He finished his round with four birdies and three bogeys.

Poland’s Adrian Meronk almost made the top 50. He sits tied for 51st place shooting 2-over 72. He had four bogeys and two birdies.
